Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist as well as a businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington has been the TV host, journalist, television philanthropist and author for a decade. In addition, she is the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Born in Greece and moved to England in the year sixteen. At Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA of Economics. In her 21st year, she was the president of the famous debating club The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student to hold this title. She joined the conservative syndicated journalist after graduating and, with The Huffington Post launched a couple of years following, she launched an online platform for voice that gave criticisms of the political landscape. It was her celebrity that has led to the attraction of many well-known contributors for posting their thoughts on news, politics and other topics. Arianna gained notoriety during 2003 when she ran as an independent candidate in a recall contest in California to replace the then-Governor Davis. She also headed an Detroit fuel-efficient car project. Forbes named her as the 12th most influential woman within the field of media in 2009 and Guardian also ranked her on the top 100 list of media the same year. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was named president of the group of media. This was a huge acquisition that included a number of AOL brands at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. Konstantinos was a business advisor and journalist. While she enjoyed a strong connection to both her parents the bond between them that helped shape her. While in her formative period, she displayed abilities to lead, and for this her name is still well-known. After the 16th year of her life she began her study within England in the United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. In the years of her university she was a member of Cambridge Union. Cambridge Union debating group where she became the first female president, and also the only foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with an MA in Economics. Following her graduation, she was employed as a columnist critic and a television host. In addition, she was a part of the series Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books after receiving editorial advice from the latter.
