Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician from England. He was part of One Direction. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1, 1994. He is the father of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where together with three students, he created his musical group, White Eskimo. Their excellent performances helped them win the Battle of Bands 2009. Even though he had always been interested in the music world however, despite his love in it, he also wanted to pursue a career as a lawyer and an physiotherapist. He worked in the local bakery for a few hours to help his family financially. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010, and performed Is not She Lovely, the Stevie Wonder song. He got selected. His band was forced to disband due to this. Following the audition on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles would be a part of the group that was to be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. The band of five was backed by Simon Cowell. They sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Suck without You along with Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart. They were one of the top contenders in the competition. They came third behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles did not receive any cash prize. However, Cowell has offered a two million-pound contract with One Direction in order for the group to join Syco Records.
